Re: anyone have a polymer 45 ACP

I have a 1998, Glock Model 30 and usually carry it. I love it, it has been utterly reliable. I have not had a FTF on any type of ammo thus far. I use a Scherer grip extension on the end of each mag, I think this is a must have. I use a Pachmayr rubber sleeve on the grip as well. There may be some that extend the mag capacity, but mine does not. I have used the 30 in almost all of my tactical pistol training. The only drawbacks are that it is chunky on your hip, I carry IWB at 3:30- 4:00. It isn't uncomfortable but not as comfy as my full size 1911. The gun is somewhat punishing in my opinion on your hands. A 300-400 round day of training beats on you in my opinion. That is true of any handgun I think, but moreso with this gun in my experience. I have Meprolight low light sights, which have now burned out after 9 years and I need to get them replaced. It is simple to strip and maintain. I like it more and more every day. I want an Ed Brown for carry, but cannot afford one yet. When I eventually get one it will be a tough task to replace this 30.
