Yup, fedex has gone so far down hill, it's hard to see them at the bottom. Outside of documents, I quit using them, altogether. When I took mine in, the clerk purposely knocked it off the scale- looked at me and smiled- then asked if it was fragile. (that after typing in the receiver info & knowing the contents.) I told her no, I over packed my box with foam because i had shipped fedex before.
On a brighter note, I shot my 320 today. Trigger seems to be the same as before sending it in. Ran another box of JHP's and some range ammo to confirm it still runs.

Fedex delivered mine this AM as well. Trigger pull feels longer than I remember. (dry fire) However, I've only been shooting my 1911 for the last 2 months so I may be a bit biased.

Same here, got my ship notice yesterday, indicating a Tuesday delivery. I was prepared for the usual "6-8 weeks" and surprised at how quick it was. We must really have been among the first few in the que.rotor wrote:Email from Sig that it has been shipped today and will be here on Tuesday. Less than 8 day turn around. Pretty impressive.

Fedex label sent
Not that this is newsworthy but as a timeline for those who registered their 320's for the "upgrade." I got RMA info and my fedex label last night, via email. I registered the day that Sig opened registration. (Aug. 15th or 16th, I think?)

Correct, the message said they would get back in some number of weeks to initiate actual returns. (they need to ramp up production of parts and train the staff to handle the 1/2 million potential returns)MechAg94 wrote:It sounded to me like you sign up for the recall and they will get back to you later. From an interview I heard, I am not sure if they are ready to receive pistols yet. I already signed up. We'll see.

Many thanks, Scott B.!!Scott B. wrote:Apex will give you a credit for the trigger. I'll dig up details on that later.flechero wrote:Scott- Thanks for the info! Sounds like my apex flat trigger may become a $46 paper weight after this. (too bad-the stock trigger pinched the heck out of my finger!)
Sig has republished the Voluntary Upgrade page:

Details are supposed to be up today but I haven't seen anything yet. I'll be interested to see what they propose and offer... "voluntary upgrade" sounds like we will have to pay our own freight, regardless of the "fix."

I find it sad that anyone takes pleasure in something like this, regardless of your preference in brands.aaangel wrote:Meanwhile at the glock Facebook page and I quote " before you drop that P320, pick up a glock "while sipping on a champagne!
Ironically though, the roles will probably reverse quickly since Sig is actually fixing their issue. Meanwhile glock owners will continue having to pull the trigger to disassemble their guns.

This commentary is directed at TFB, not at TAM.The Annoyed Man wrote:http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017 ... lans-test/The gun failed the test. With all the information coming to light where the P320 failed when dropped, It got me thinking. What if you could replicate the failure with a sharp blow on the back of the slide? I talked to some people that have conducted professional drop tests and was told that sometimes a hammer or mallet is used for the testing.
I grabbed my well used Brownells 1″ gunsmith hammer and loaded a primed case into the chamber, then smacked it on the back of the slide. Sure, it isn’t super scientific, but it does show that the pistol will fail on command.
This is surprising? The gun already failed (proven and repeated) from a sharp blow to the rear... so this time just using using a tool to produce the sharp blow to the rear to induce failure is now news? It's the same thing!
Suddenly anyone with a 320 and no concern for hurting it is "testing" in the name of safety and science! I think TFB just needed/wanted some publicity and jumped onto a hot topic's coat tails.

Re: BREAKING: P320 Recall Issued By Dallas Police | Prohibited From Duty Till Repaired
As a 320 owner I was surprised that the trigger would continue to travel after impact.... my trigger pull isn't so light that I'd expect the trigger itself to be able to overcome the pull weight. I wonder what the physical weight of the Apex replacement trigger is. (may be the cheap and easy solution to this)
I also didn't know that no official drop tests included a drop on the back of the pistol. That's most surprising of all!
