Re: Anyone seen a "gunsmith" use a dremel to clean a gun?
dremels have a bad reputation...
believe it or not a felt wheel and a wire wheel on a dremel make quick work of cleaning and polishing...
in the wrong hands that combination = ruined finish and bad fit
dremels are great (when you know what you're doing)

Re: Wilson Combat ADP
I'm very happy with it, and have had no problems yet, but I'm just not sure whether it was a good choice or not. IMHO, as long as you can continue to say what's in boldface, that pistol was a good choice for you. If you encounter a situation in which you can no longer say that, that's the time to l...

had mine since about 10yrs old too... to the squirrels and rabbits, it's probably thought of as a WMD...Keith B wrote:Well, I knew that when I got my first .410 at age 10!
Maybe that is the problem we had in Iraq, they couldn't find any .410's, just IED's. Sheesh!!

Re: Problem: My Sig 226 isn't locking back
it's pretty odd to have 2 mags go bad at the same time with the same issue... not unheard of though
though if you field strip the weapon with the mags in you could cause the same damage.
if you try lubing it, and nothing changes, try the new mag, then let us know...

Re: Problem: My Sig 226 isn't locking back
I don't think it was my thumb against the slide release latch. whether point shooting, one hand dueling stance or the weaver stance, my thumb is nowhere near the latch. In fact it is usually curled downward. EDIT: Now I am observing a new problem. I lock the gun slide back, flip down the slide remo...

Re: Small single stack 1911
the new STI minis are looking great...
a micro-1911 in .40
they also have similar 1911's in 9mm and .45acp...
none of them will allow me to get a decent grip with my big hands, but they look great.

Re: Problem: My Sig 226 isn't locking back
easiest solution is to eliminate one problem at a time... lube the gun, gently, not too much... make sure the catch it functioning properly without a mag... then try cleaning your mags and check the spring tension... I doubt the springs are worn out, i've had my 226 for about 5years now, and there's...

Re: stolen firearm recovered!
i purchased the g27 sometime between January and March of last year... it was stolen in late may/early june from a gun safe that i kept in my closet at my old apartment. The weapon was the only thing missing, not my nice speakers DVD player, guitars, pool cues, etc... So i'm fairly certain it wasn't...

Re: Does such a creature exist?
The issue i had with my pager-pal, and the issue i have with wearing my cell on the same hip as my IWB is that the phone stands out like a sore thumb... instead of hanging at your side, it's protruding out a few inches further. It's simply not convenient to me either to have to maneuver around my ce...
