Back in the 1990s, a young man by the name of David Hahn came very close to building a nuclear reactor in his mother’s garden shed. He might have succeeded had he not had a chance encounter with police. The EPA had to come in and clean the site up in 1995. At age 14, Taylor Wilson (born in Texarkana, Arkansas) became the youngest ever to achieve nuclear fusion. That was in 2008.
