Any time a call or letter is received, and DPS is contacted on behalf of the constituent, I believe DPS is required to make in inquiry into the process. I can't say for sure, but a lot of folks believe this has resulted in their application being given a little higher priority. Some have called the offices of the Governor and their state rep to ask them to look into delays in their application.
