The Storm is a fun little rifle. Its odd shape is what kept it off of the so-called "Assault Weapon Ban" list. That funky little strap of material that connects the bottom of the pistol grip to the stock is what kept it from having a “pistol grip” and therefore falling into that sinister group called the Evil Black Rifle. A lot of owners simply cut that piece off. It serves no structural use and you won’t miss it.
I always thought of the Storm as the modern version of the old west mentality of having both rifle and pistol use the same ammo. With the addition of using the same mag as one of the most popular pistols on the planet, mag availability will never be an issue.
If you really want to spend some time reading about them, hop over to the Beretta forum. According to some of those folks, the Trinity should have had a 4th leg and it should have been called Beretta. "The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost all carry a Beretta"
Seriously though, that forum is the best place to learn about all Beretta firearms and is a great group. You will also probably find a good deal on a Storm in their classifieds.
I'm not sure I agree with gwashorn's statement about 5.56 not penetrating walls. We should all have a shotty loaded with #4 bird shot for those worried about penetrating the sheet rock. The real answer of course is to simply not miss.
