The information about how you look at someone being considered such an insult in the gangbangers circles bothers me somewhat. That is the sort of information that is useful when you are told not to make eye contact with some dog breeds or possibly wild animals such as lions and tigers. However I am not going to walk around gazing at the ground when I beleive there may be gangbangers in the area. I could really care less if my observing someone may offend them, I will not get into a staring match with anyone, but I will not hang my head like a sheeple either. I will continue to act like a normal human and go about my business.
