I will NOT be carrying on my next visit but, like Heartland Patriot, I am perplexed/confused/agitated. What if I had not wandered downstairs for a bite to eat and then around the corner to have a look at the outside patio...Heartland Patriot wrote:I completely understand what has been said about effective notice here. However, I am curious as to why this hospital (or any of the other places that have done this sort of thing) wouldn't post the MAIN entrance, if the objective is to keep folks with legal concealed weapons out? Its this sort of stuff that doesn't make any sense. ... When they take the time to post the correct language, but where most folks aren't going to see it, it feels like something sneaky going on. And I'm not a fan of sneaky when it comes to the law.

30.06 Posting at Memorial Hermann SW Heart & Vascular Center
I was at the Memorial Hermann Southwest Heart and Vascular Center (7600 Beechnut, Houston) Monday and Tuesday of this week for a surgery that my father has since undergone.
On both days my dad & I entered the building through the MAIN entrance at the FRONT of the building, and there are absolutely no 30.06 postings, no gun buster signs, no signs of any sort that mention prohibited weapons on the property.
Yesterday I entered the main entrance with my XD45 on my hip, spent 6 hours waiting on the 2nd floor, had lunch at the little deli on the 1st floor, walked over to the deli's adjacent patio dining area (at the back of the building), looked out the widow on to the patio and noticed this sign on the outside patio wall:
Since I have to return to this same facility in a few weeks, I am anxious to hear what you fellas think and have to say.
Thanks.
