RoundRock self-supervised range?

Most of my practice and fun shooting has been at self-supervised outdoor ranges/clubs. Pay annual dues, get key to gate. Anything like that near RoundRock? We're not talking full-auto or .50 calibre, just standard pistol calibers, AR-15, etc. I'm just more used to simply getting a nod from anyone el...

Re: Concealment Vests

I have a 5.11 vest, designed with carry in mind. Has a cloth holster mountable in large internal pocket, either left or right side, by way of a large double-sided velcro patch. Numerous other pockets inside and out. Received the vest from my son, who received it from someone else. I don't use it. Ve...

My understanding is: ..Smokeless powder burns more efficiently as pressure increases. Higher pressure means a cleaner burn, no unburned flakes thrown out the front. Also means enough pressure to expand the brass case against the chamber wall and seal against soot blowing back; cleaner ejected cases....

Re: Adult Establishment Carry

Moderator: Thanks for allowing a bit of drift on this thread. I'm 64 yrs old, don't drink (several years ago I made a bargain with myself to leave off tobacco and alcohol, and just make more trips to the range; works for me), and am disgusted by the misappropriation of the word "gentlemen"...

WTB Beretta Stampede Marshall 45Colt

Looking for a Stampede Marshall in good mechanical condition. Holster not important, but will consider if it's there.

Prefer FTF. I'm in the Lower Rio Grande Valley; travel up IH 35 to Dallas and to Del Rio.

as to the military rifle cases (e.g. L.C.).... iirc, according to Speer #13, military brass has thicker walls. since the outside dimensions are standard for the caliber, that makes the inside volume less. powder charge should be reduced (Speer suggests 10%) to avoid dangerous overpressure. so.. for ...
