If we had the guts to label drunk drivers who cause fatal crashes murderers, they would account for more murders than criminals using firearms.

How is a teenager driving a vehicle that can cause mayhem different from the same teenager having a firearm that can cause mayhem?

- Jim
a teen in a car is a common occurance. vehicles aren't really designed to hurt or kill. Cars are used for many functions.
a gun on the other hand....we know he aint LEO, we know he aint CHL.

A minor who owns or is in control of a motor vehicle and all the etceteras can have a concealed handgun in the vehicle, as can an adult.

Please forgive my stupidity and I now believe all kids should have Handguns.

Texas
There are no state laws prohibiting a minor from possessing firearms, including handguns and semiautomatic assault weapons. Minors do not even need parental permission to be in possession of a firearm.
No selling or giving firearms to minors under 18, unless for supervised loans of firearms or for limited lawful activities, such as hunting.

Don't know if the kid had legal possession of the car (meaning whether it was stolen or not). I do not think you need a license to have legal possession of an automobile. If someone (legal owner or in legal possession) allowed him to drive it, I would say he had legal possession.
.
well considering the kid had a gun, im guessing that had something to do with him sporting a 04' cadillac at 4am.
