J Frame 442 pocket carry and dress
Howdys folks, Been carrying a S&W 442 for pocket carry. I normaly wear types of dress slacks, Dockers, or jeans. While the pockets seem big enough for the gun inside a Uncles Mikes pocket holster to fit, I find sometimes the gun is still slightly visible. Mostly only if you were standing behind ...

Safety on or off for CCW carry?
Hello folks, had a question for the collective bunch here. I normally carry a S&W 442 as a pocket carry, but also have a Bersa Thunder 9mm. It is a 17 round full size 9mm. I was curious for those of you that carry a full size gun if you carry with the safety on or off. After you chamber a round ...

Bers Thunder 9 Full Size Laser Sight?
Hey folks,
Curious if anyone has a Bersa Thunder 9 with a laser sight? Looking for recommendations. Seems like lasermax or crimsongrips does not make any for the Bersa company guns.
thanks,
tytl

Locking gun in car
Well, I have been thinking about ways to lock your gun in the car. I travel back and fourth between cities, and have a need to keep the gun locked in the car while it is parked in an airport parking lot. I have bought the portable gun safe that has the steel cable, but after actually getting the pro...

OK, finally had snubby out to the range today. To be honest, the recoil was not as bad as I imagined it to be. Shot about 50 rounds of generic 158 GR ball ammo that I bought at the range. Don't get me wrong, I don't think I care to go to the range and shoot 50 rounds every week in that gun, but it i...

Thanks for the great input. The learning curve is steep as a new shooter. One thing I can't believe is the price of ammo....and I have been learning it is constantly going up. Would it just be cheaper to throw quarters down range at the target? :) As far as bullet size goes, I guess that is o...

New member, soon to be CHL, new S&W 442 with questions
Hello Folks, Just bought a new 442 today from Academy. Have not shot the gun yet, but based on other posts, I expect it to have a small kick, but be fun. Paid $399, not on sale. Also, didn't see a good selection of "self defense"rounds on the self. I ended up buying a box of Monarch brand ...
