:iagree:
Correct. A delaying tactic while the creepy porn lawyers and Democrats (sorry, I repeat myself) dredge up more fake victims.

My summation:

Yes, There was an attempted rape against Dr. Ford.
I believe she was drugged that night (one beer) and that accounts for her failing to remember how she got there, how she got home, where it was at, when it was at, WHAT YEAR IT WAS (Seriously???), and who was involved.
I do not believe that Kavanaugh is a choir boy but what else does anyone expect him to say other than I didn't do it?
And the focus on his yearbook was disgraceful.

And considering every one of the alleged 'witnesses' whose names SHE brought to the table says it didn't happen, I'm inclined to believe them.
You believe that there was an attempted rape, yet there is no evidence, no collaborating testimony, no proof that the incident ever occurred? You should be appalled that this man's good name has been dragged through the mud based upon nothing more than a supposed repressed memory.
I sincerely hope that your good name is never besmirched by a deranged woman with a grudge who has no proof that you did anything other than her word and a gang of people who are willing to blindly support her accusations against you.
I took his comment to mean that while something may have happened to her, it had nothing to do with Kavanaugh.

I assume the FBI will now question Dr Ford and heaven forbid she get a detail wrong about anything, even if it has nothing to do with the investigation. Then I'm sure they'll be charging her with a Felony a la Flynn...right? I mean that's why we're having the delay, right to see if we can charge her with perjury. Flawed memory or PTSD is no excuse. I assume if the Feds think she's lying they'll hand it over to the US Attorney for prosecution, right? On the other hand they have no jurisdiction over sex crimes in Maryland from 1982, so I assume they'll be passing that off to the Montgomery County (MD) DA. Of course, we're not even sure he has jurisdiction, since the crime can't be credibly placed in time or in the County.

Which state? It’s against MD state law for Feinswine to not report a crime that someone told her about in California or DC?
What about withholding evidence on her part. She (and I use this term loosely) had the letter for what, 6 weeks before she brought it to light? Did you see her aid start scrambling when Failswine was asked about who leaked the letter? It was hilarious.
Read this article: http://thefederalist.com/2018/09/27/sen ... te-ambush/
There’s a legal concept called laches, and it applies in spades. It dates back to the 1300s. “Equity aids the vigilant and not those who sleep on their rights,” the doctrine provides. Even a legitimate claim is barred when the person making the claim purposefully holds onto it until after the accused’s ability to defend himself is impaired.

.....

Curiously, the legal dictionary cites sexual harassment as the classic case where the doctrine of laches might apply. It’s as true today as it was in 1325 England. Somebody has to pay the price for an accuser withholding the allegations from the regular hearing process. Why should it be the man who did nothing but participate in good faith?
Senator Feinstein needs to pay that price, and at a minimum, it should be her formal censure by the Senate, if not some kind of criminal proceeding. She used Ford, and then threw her under the bus when asked to account for how the letter got leaked. I do not believe that Ford was assaulted by Kavanaugh. I did believe that somebody did something highly inappropriate to her when she was 15, but she is not a credible witness against Kavanaugh - not when all the other people SHE says witnessed the events say that it is untrue that this party ever took place, or that Kavanaugh was ever there.

Ford is guilty of perfidy to the extent that she - an adult capable of making adult decisions - allowed her story to be used in a political circus. In so doing, she killed any chance of ever finding and prosecuting her supposed attacker, if it in fact actually ever happened.... a thing about which I struggle to believe happened. I struggle to believe it EXACTLY because she allowed her story to be used that way, instead of pursuing justice in a court of law. What happened to Bill Cosby proves that the system works, even decades later, IF the plaintiff will put their faith in it. Ford’s decision not to put her faith in the criminal justice system, combined with her decision to allow herself to be used in a political witch hunt instead, makes me suspiscious of both her motive and her account.

True or not, Ford’s story will be a mere footnote in history. After all, how many people even think about Anita Hill these days - unless it is in the context of an accusation of sexual impropriety against a republican SCOTUS nominee - let alone talk about her? But Diane Feinstein! She is another matter. When she was being grilled about the letter’s release, you could SEE the panic on her face. She suddenly realized that she was in a highly untenable position, with REAL consequences if the truth is ever revealed. Committee republicans owe it to America to do a thorough after-action review, and this time, bring in the FBI to investigate the details and uncover the leaker so that the leaker can experience the criminal justice system. AT THE VERY LEAST, she should be removed from the Judiciary Committee and given responsibility more to her qualifications .... like maybe designing traffic signs or something.
May apply in torts or civil actions, perhaps even in Senate Ethics investigations. But when you say something is "against state law" you're implying that it is a crime within the legal purview of the State. In this case presumably Maryland since that's where the alleged crime occurred. I have trouble believing Feinstein could be held to account criminally for something she did in her role as a Senator in California or on the Floor of the Senate, just because she waited until it was politically beneficial.

Breaking news....Kavanagh called Erin-Makenzie O'Shaughnessy a fatty in the cafeteria of Father Patrick Sean O'Leary Finnegan Memorial Middle School in Montgomery County, MD. She is still in therapy and now weighs 400lbs. Diane FrankenFeinstein will now be calling her to testify. :smilelol5:

LTUME1978 wrote: Mon Sep 24, 2018 8:21 am Scott, I don't think it is done yet. I would let this play out and continue to fight. I think the Republicans need to move this on to the Senate floor for a vote before the elections so that everyone can see how the vote goes. That may affect the outcome of the election in a positive way for the country and ultimately for Kavanaugh's position on the court.

The behavior of the Democrats is despicable but they will reap what they sow, more than they sow, later than they sow. People that want to see this country survive in the form it was fashion by our founding fathers will have to stand up and make that happen.
I hope you're right. I counted out Trump too early even though I voted for him in the general... :???:

Re: ANTHONY KENNEDY IS RETIRING!

This SCOTUS nomination is done. Not because any of this is true, but it doesn’t matter. Another “Borking”, this time by Schmucky, instead of the late “Cowardly Lion” of the Senate. It’s all a steaming pile of “Schumer”, but no matter. The deed is done. :mad5
