This is the reason why it is so important to have Congress and the Senate. They took FOPA, a fantastic bill, and at the last minute jammed in the obscure NFA machine gun ban. Let's pass it so we can see what's in it... NFA is arguably unconstitutional but is 1934/1968. I believe state restrictions on full-auto/SBR/SBS etc. "may" pass muster, but federally we have the 1934 Roosevelt era NFA to blame, not President Reagan.
Maybe some of you remember that President Carter was in favor of a handgun "ban". Federally! I was very young in 76, but really? A handgun BAN? The NRA is the first line here! Yes we have lots of other groups... But N R A !! Since 19th century. Get with the program folks!!!
