True...by the "blue" sign I meant the Unlicensed Possession which is required to be posted though not relevant to CHL'ers. And actually as all the signs, it was in black and white, though they all seemed to have a Texas seal on them.BrianSW99 wrote:Despite the sign color designated on the liquor license, there's no requirement that the unlicensed possession signs be in any particular color. Both blue and red would be valid. The only color requirement is on the 51% signs, where the 51% must be in red.

Liquor Store Sign... (???)
So I am in the Houston area today and went to a liquor store west of the beltway off I-10. They had no less than three signs...
-1 Unlicensed possession "blue" sign.
-2 Felony Unlicensed AND Licensed posession sign, with NO 51% in red.
-3 It is a Misdemeanor to consume liquor on these premises.
And then one about obtaining forced labor by immigrants or something... Thought US dealt with that one in 1860-1865...
#1 & #3 are valid. But I've seen #2 on several liquor stores in the Hill Country and now in Houston. Best I can tell this is the sign that Hospitals are required to post, even though it carries no force of law for CHL today.
I wasn't going to bring it up with the proprietors as my Hindi/Urdu and Spanish are limted...and in my limited experience in said store, these seemed to be the predominant languages spoken. And NO I didn't sample any of my purchases while carrying under CHL.
Anybody else seen the Hospital sign on your local spirits retailer/whiskey merchant?
