Re: Kicked out of Target for OCD

I don't understand why you people have to open carry your dogs everywhere. Can't you just leave them at home? Or better yet, don't own them at all!

According to thie report: http://www.dogbitelaw.com/Dog%20Attacks ... lifton.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
There have been OVER TWO THOUSAND deaths and maimings due to dogs in the past 2 decades alone!
Some of those killed or maimed were children! Just imagine, if you will, the population of Every Elementary School in West Houston, Killed by dogs!!!

Sure maybe a dozen or so dogs have been reported to have protected lives, but that's not that many!
That CLEARLY shows that dogs are HUNDREDS of times more likely to injure someone than they are to save someone!
Studies have shown that in homes with no dogs, the chances of death by dog is nearly Zero.
In homes that have a dog, that chance more then QUADRUPLES!!!

Comon folks, you have to agree, TONS of deaths, and very little positive results have come from Openly Carrying Dogs these past years. I think we should ban OCD Everywhere!
If it saves one child's life, it's worth it!!!

(It hurts my brain trying to think like an anti, and jump to all these ridiculous conclusions... XD)
-You dog banner's are all alike. Haven't you read "More Dogs, Less Crime" by Dr. John Lab ?
-More kids die in swimming pools than from dog bites. Are you going to ban them?
-States with fewer dog laws and restrictions have much lower crime rates.
-I'm not talking about fully automatic attack wolves (although with the right permit you can own them), I'm talking schnauzers, pekingese, dachshunds, and toy poodles (all easier to conceal).
-I'll give up my dog when you pry the leash from my cold dead fingers.

You just stick with your pseudo-sophisticated liberal feline lover friends, I'll cling to my dogs and religion.

Re: Kicked out of Target for OCD

I don't know about you, but I am never going to open carry a dog. It may be legal, but with the right combination of anti-dog cop and DA you will take the ride anyway. I don't have $50,000 to defend myself for doing something perfectly legal.

In my last instructor renewal class there was DPS lawyer who insisted that OCD (Open Carry Dog) was illegal despite finding no statute to support her. She stated that DPS would arrest for both OCD and CCD. I tried to explain that there was no law against (properly leashed) dogs, but she said I could tell it to the judge.

Even though I believe in Constitutional Carry based on the Preamble (PA)...Dogs "promote the general Welfare"..."ensure domestic Tranquility (except with cats)"...and "secure the Blessings of Liberty"...

I am not willing to be a test case. Until we have a test case, no one is really safe carrying a dog. Until we get a Supreme Court case upholding PA dog carry (People v. Rover?, Fido v. Bloomberg?) I am not willing to risk it. We have a long fight ahead against the likes of the National Coalition to Ban Dogs...The Feline Campaign...and other dog control and anti-PA groups.

There were no signs present at the front door saying dog,s concealed, open carried or walking were prohibited. The signs they did have present prohibited illegal carrying of firearms inside both in English and Spanish and not in one inch high letters. So I went in.

When I was stopped by the manager and asked to leave, I recited Title 3 of the Americans with Disabilities Act to her, but she was unimpressed with my lecture on the laws of the United States.

So I told her I would immediately leave and so without out spending my money, I quickly left.

Sticking around would have been, I assume, trespass. :txflag:
OK this is too good to resist... Alert! Alert! Numerous CHL cliches to follow.

- This is another reason why I'm against Open Carry (Dog). It just tends to alarm the public and may cause more stores to ban all dogs. Why don't you just conceal your carry dog?! :nono:

- Was there a "Circle Slash Dog" sign on the door? That may be sufficient "notice" under 30.05 that you were trespassing by entering with your dog...Or would the dog be trespassing? Can a dog receive verbal notice (oh, sorry "oral"...)? What if the dog only understands (or reads) Spanish?. Disclaimer: IANAV (I am not a veterinarian).

- Are you allowed to carry your dog in the parking lot in the car under MPA? Can you bring your dog while picking up your child from school, even if the school bans dogs? Are there any Federal Dog Free Zones? Are animal shelters off limits for open and concealed carry?

- Why does Target ban dogs when they sell dog food? Kind of like prohibiting handgun carry by a CHL at the gun show.

- When a police officer approaches you and asks for ID, do you notify him if you are concealing your dog? Or do you just hand him your DL and dog's tag...? Can he dis-dog you for officer safety? What if it's an Animal Control Officer? "rlol" "rlol"

- Do you carry your dog to your place of worship? Openly, or concealed?

- Can you carry a dog where alcohol is sold for on premises consumption? What about a 51% location? Remember alcohol and dogs don't mix! There is no legal limit for intoxication for a dog! If the officer thinks he's drunk or smells alcohol on his breath, then he's DRUNK...period...end of story...go directly to the pound. :cryin

Ohh.. the possibilities are endless. :anamatedbanana
