Sorry to hear of your problems LocknLoad, but in our section of League CIty I have had no problems at all...granted, we are in a newer development and not in "League City Proper", but our subdivision has had very few issue in the 12 years I've been there, and I consider it one of the safer places I could possible live in the general area.locknload wrote: ....League City is not a safe place to live!
If you are being intimidated by your or your neighbor's "lawn men", why are you still using them? Did you call the police when you were attacked/intimidated or your property damaged? In my interactions with LCPD they have always been quick to respond and take a no-nonsense approach to things. They would have no problem taking care of the lawn men - after all, if you are sending them payment, then they will know where to look... I too wonder, however, about the day laborers congregating outside CIty Hall each day...
Now, as for the city politics, I whole heartedly agree that the council and mayor are in the developers pockets, but I have a feeling that's the same in any small town that has any growth going on. From what I can see CLear Lake Shores and Kemah have the same issues in that regard.
