Not too far up the road from the Peppermint Park building was a restraunt, I forget the name, but there was a giant shrimp and a giant crab on the sign. Both had glowing eyes as I recall. They also had some of the best seafood I had ever eaten as a young boy.
Those were the days!!!!

I too have been to that Sunnys many times. I had an Aunt that lived in that area. Lets not even talk about those Telephone Road Icehouses. I saw one of the worst cut-em-up fights I have ever seen while drinking a beer with one of my buddies there. Bad bad!!
Between that and the hookers on the prowl.....a man coud get a buzz two different ways....LOL. No thank you....not for me!!!
Now talking about a Houston Boy......how many of you remember the Peppermint Park amusement park facility off old 59 south. The building was red & white stripped. I think the building is now owned by one of the car dealerships.
