CompVest,

Thanks for that info. I see he is in PA though!!! We are in the Houston area. Any local resources you or someone would recommend for the same kind of M&P trigger job? Or is Burwell one of those few and far between specialists that is worth the extra effort?

Not to hijack the thread, but what is involved in order to ship for out of state servicing like that?

Regards,

My wife and I got our CHL's together and our first pistols at about the same time. She has small hands and short fingers (to the point that finding correct fitting garden gloves is a chore). We looked at so many options for her. She did not want a revolver. I really wanted her to have something that was double stacked. She can shoot my Sig 226 .40, and she really likes it, but it is a stretch for her hand and would be difficult under stress for her to wield.

Just about the time we were going to settle on something less than ideal, the S&W MP 9 Compact hit the shelves at our local shop. They come with changeable grip sides (for larger or smaller hands) in the box that made all the difference. It's about as good a fit as I think we could find for her with the small sides mounted.

She much prefers the Sig trigger, but the S&W is admirable, accurate (she shot a 242) and fun as all get out on the range.

As always, to each their own, but if hand size and finger reach has been an obstacle for your wife, the MP9 Compact may be worth a look.
