Registration makes future confiscation much easier. We should consider that all of us are Virginians. Texas progressive socialists want nothing more than to enact the same laws here.von Clausewitz wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 10:28 amAnd the leading pro-2A group (VCDL) has said that is also just as unacceptable as the original idea...RoyGBiv wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 8:33 amLast I read somewhere, to get grandfathered would require registration.

To quote the VCDL President “Who are we to negotiate away the rights of future generations for our own benefit?”

Re: VA: Tazewell County Forms Militia in Response to New Virginia Gun Laws
“People talk about the impatience of the populace; but sound historians know that most tyrannies have been possible because men moved too late. It is often essential to resist a tyranny before it exists. It is no answer to say, with a distant optimism, that the scheme is only in the air. A blow from a hatchet can only be parried while it is in the air.”

Re: VA: Tazewell County Forms Militia in Response to New Virginia Gun Laws
Well, Virgina's National Guard better be 99% city dwellers and not residents of those counties that are voting to be 2A sanctuaries. As usual, the idiots like Democratic Virginia Rep. Donald McEachin talk, talk, talk without thinking of unintended consequences...such as the VA National Guard throwing the communists in Richmond in jail for violating the constitution and/or joining forces with the county sheriffs and their militias.srothstein wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 3:39 pmI am glad I am not the only one who caught that error. I was thinking the governor might activate the gaurd to collect the guns and then the president might nationalize them to stop it.ELB wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 3:13 pm"Nationalizing" the Guard would put them under the President's control, not the Governor's. Trump might have the stones to do this if the Governor gets froggy.“And ultimately, I'm not the governor, but the governor may have to nationalize the National Guard to enforce the law,”
But every time I see or hear Democrats talking about the police or military actively confiscating our weapons, I am reminded of the saying about those who don't learn from history. Our nation was started because of the military trying to take weapons. I would really hate to see it end for the same reason. In truth, I don't want to see it end at all but I am getting surer and surer that we are on the brink of another revolution and I have no idea how to prevent it from happening. Well, no acceptable idea because I cannot roll over and play dead for the extremists in the government (on either side) who want to change our way of life.

As least we don’t have any doubt about the intentions of the socialist democrats. Funny how “the law is the law” with the communists except when the law is something they disagree with, then resistance is acceptable. The Annoyed Man wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 8:42 am https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news ... egislation
'The law is the law': Virginia Democrats float prosecution and National Guard for police who fail to enforce gun control legislationOnce again, democrats demonstrate that theirs is the party of fascism. I don’t have a ton of respect for the GOP, but I positively HATE the democrat party.McEachin also noted that Democratic Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam could call the National Guard, if necessary.
“And ultimately, I'm not the governor, but the governor may have to nationalize the National Guard to enforce the law,” he said. “That's his call, because I don't know how serious these counties are and how severe the violations of law will be. But that's obviously an option he has.”
Another great day to stock up on ammo.

In response to the wave of proposed anti-gun legislation in Virginia, many of its cities and counties have declared themselves Second Amendment Sanctuaries. One county, in particular, took it a step further at their December 3rd County Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting.
In addition to passing their Second Amendment Sanctuary Resolution, the county also passed a Militia Resolution. This resolution formalizes the creation, and maintenance of a defacto civilian militia in the county of Tazewell.
