I believe the "soft uniform", based upon observance of officers wearing them, is a polo shirt with badge embroidered on it, duty pistol openly carried and badge attached to the belt in plain view. An officer so attired may or may not be "on duty."

:iagree: It’s not like these incidents aren’t making the news. Like most things progressive, these people will push the limits until caught. Then they’ll apologize. After all, being proactive and training their employees first might offend some of the delicate snowflakes.
