He says that he "forgot" his concealed carry weapon was in his luggage when he left the United States, and that he was "unaware" of the laws of Mexico about possession of firearms.Kyle Busch was arrested at the Cancun Airport last month, according to a report from the Cancun Sun on Monday, after a firearm was discovered in his luggage as his family prepared to return to the United States.

Sounds suspiciously like the Mexican judge received a payoff to allow Mr. Busch to leave the country instead of spending 3 1/2 years in prison.Last week, the two-time Nascar champion was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, the Associated Press reported,
The Mexico federal attorney’s office has since revealed that a local judge allowed conditional punishment for Mr Busch. He left the country after paying an undisclosed bond.
