I have asked to see very few guns in Academy due to their policies. I have been told they would not take the trigger lock off & let me check the 2 Baretta storms they had at the time. Told them wife wanted one & if I could not I would go somewhere else. This was right after they came out & were scarse.
They let me do it.
I have seen them ask one for his DL.
In our store here now all their knives are bubble packed. You cannot handle them before buying.
Since Academy moved in I have spent very little at WM whis is right across 59 from them. They are steadily forcing me back there for a few things.

BTW - Wife's Storm is the only gun I have bought at Academy due to their policies.

Our Academy here is pretty selective as to who they take the trigger locks off for. If you tell them you are not interested or will not look unless they do, they get real happy to remove them.
