Re: DPS Body Cam Footage Confirms Dennis Bonnen Lies
As was pointed out the records show he didn't check a weapon. Also considering Bonnen's wife was apparently either not home or didn't see him at her door her story of him "brandishing a machine gun" seems to be falling apart. "Work"? So when they are already standing around in front of his house it was "work" to put the flyer on the door he was already watching? I am more concerned about why the speaker gets to pull DPS to sit on his house when there is no credible threat to him or his family. I am also more concerned that those that are siding with Bonnen and apparently don't believe their own eyes are still convinced those DPS officers are totally incompetent and willing to let someone brandishing a weapon at the speaker's wife and trespassing on his property actually helped him and let him go without arrest. That's a rather insulting view of those officers.

Re: DPS Body Cam Footage Confirms Dennis Bonnen Lies
Of course it does, your point is pretty weak. I think most people would agree that someone is far more accurate with what they are personally experiencing than their interpretation of some legislative body. If your dismiss her personal statements about what her activities were when you have no factual reason to dispute her first hand account other than you don't like the way she explained one committee then I would tend to think you are looking for a reason.Papa_Tiger wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 10:51 amIt does MUCH more than just "gun control". Drama queen Dennis is a liberal fudger. I'd heard about his fudging and now, I can say I've personally experienced his fudging. Here are the True Facts of what happened in his neighborhood, yesterday around 3:00 p.m. FACT #1: I am one of the five, Constitutional Conservative, Republican, citizens of Texas who thought the voters, who elected Diva Dennis, needed to know how he is representing them. We went to his neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods and Put A Post Card On Their Doors that said he was refusing to protect their 2nd Constitutional Ammendment. We were respectful and courteous to everyone. FACT# 6: Except for 1 person, every single person we spoke to was kind and willingly received our information. FACT # 7: We were out of Diva Dennis' neighborhood in less than 2 hours. FACT # 8: I did see a law officer in his patrol car sitting in front of Diva Dennis' house. I guess they didn't consider us a threat to his safety nor that we were breaking any laws because they never approached any of us. I do question why Texas Tax Payers are having to pay for Diva Dennis' drama antics and fudging. The next time someone comes on my property and wants me to vote for them or their candidate, can I claim I'm being threatened and get free, state law enforcement protection? I'm 74 years young and, believe me, I've had a lot of politicians knocking on my door, calling me and sending me gobs of mail to seek my vote or support. I could call that harassment but it's The American Process of Electing a Public Servant. I want to know, in writing, what they promise so I can hold them to it. We hope it will cause them to question and research if they are getting what they voted for."
Fact 10: Speaker Bonnen appointed Representative Nevarez as chairman of the House Homeland Security & Public Safety committee. There is no "Texas House Gun Control committee".
Fact 11: Speaker Bonnen stated in a Facebook post: "But as they say, talk is cheap... Re: DPS Body Cam Footage Confirms Dennis Bonnen Lies
Handing out fliers is EXCATLY what he was doing. Did you watch the DPS camera footage? So no answer on why you think politicians are fine to come to our door to ask for our vote but asking DPS to put a flyer you are passing out in the neighborhood on a politicians door is something to be condemned? I can't even imagine the warped sense of values that produced that thought. I wouldn't care if anti gunners passed out flyers in their neighborhood either other than I disagree with their message. Re: DPS Body Cam Footage Confirms Dennis Bonnen Lies
They did a press conference yesterday and he again stated he was not armed. Also, as you said he flew in and rented a car, said the flight records would show he didn't check a gun. Sure as heck didn't have a "machine gun" as Bonnen's wife who apparently never even saw him was quoted as saying. All I have to do is look how DPS was acting with him. They CLEARLY saw nothing wrong with his behavior and didn't see it as intimidating at all. They appeared to enjoy talking to him. I trust DPS and if they didn't see any reason to ask him more questions or detain him and actually helped him put the flyer on his door and took one for themselves then who are any of us to say essentially that DPS was incompetent and let a threatening pyscho that was threatening Bonnen go? Because that's what you have to believe if you think what he did was threatening or dangerous.

Re: DPS Body Cam Footage Confirms Dennis Bonnen Lies
There is absolutely ZERO wrong with going to put a flyer on a politician's door at their home whether they are there or not. Actually not even anything wrong with knocking on the door and talking about the issue with anyone that chose to answer the door (which didn't even happen) these politicians aren't Gods or emperor's that can't be bothered to be soiled by the presence of the people they want to rule. They sure as hell don't have a problem coming to MY door when I am not home and leaving literature on my door or knocking on it to talk to me about voting for them. Someone explain to me why you think THAT is no problem but us doing the same thing is a problem.
That being said, if ANYTHING about him being armed, harassing his wife or anything like that were true I would be against it and say it's wrong but that didn't happen. Also, I personally wouldn't have done it simply because it gave Bonnen the chance to do what he did. So it was bad strategy even if there is actually nothing wrong with doing it.
In the end Bonnen is demonstrated liar and should be removed from office however soon that can be and censured by the RPT. The act of putting one of the worst DemonRAT anti gun reps as the chair is reason enough. I am telling my rep and any others I talk to that they have to make Bonnen a one term speaker next session or I will withhold my vote and funds from them.
