I was wondering the same thing, would be funny if they won't allow a knife but you can carry a handgun if licensed.

If I remember correctly there was a news story about the Tx State Fair inviting CHLers. Just be sure to wave down the nearest officer, obviously before hitting the metal detectors. They will be discrete about it and move you on in through a special place avoiding all the metal detectors.
