Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

Hopefully Trump will veto the $4.6 BILLION bill to coddle criminals.

The Democratic-controlled House voted Thursday to send President Donald Trump a bipartisan, Senate-drafted, $4.6 billion measure to care for migrant refugees detained at the southern border

Did he do this yet? I can't find any evidence he followed through.

Maybe the MSM is suppressing the story and that's why I haven't seen it. But it's hard to believe they wouldn't shout it from the rooftops if he did it, calling him a racists and so on, seeing how vociferously they attacked Trump for just saying it.

Can anybody help me find the story? (if it exists)

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

Is he sending illegals to sanctuary cities yet?

Did he keep his promise to make "those gun-free zones" disappear? We got National Parks under Obama so I'm disappointed Trump keeps dragging his feet on campaign promises, but has time to push through a bump stock ban that Obama couldn't.

Then there's his support for Minority Report laws.

Maybe Trump and Bonnen should team up.

Really, don't you think a leader needs input from differing points of view and debate?
Absolutely! However, if I'm employed in an advisory role, and my most important advice is not heeded, at some point I'm going to stop banging my head against the wall and leave that role. Maybe I'll go where I can make a difference. Maybe I'll throw in the towel. Maybe I'll do something else entirely, but I'm not Sisyphus, and I'm not obligated to labor in vain.

03Lightningrocks wrote: Thu Dec 13, 2018 3:20 pm I never took what Trump said to mean Mexico was going to be writing a check. That would have been pretty darned naive to believe, although we do have a generation of very simple humans among us now. I believe Mexico would be paying for the wall in less American dollars from drugs, illegals who send money back to circulate their economy and possibly a raised tariff or two.
The only way I see Mexico paying to build a wall is if huuuge amounts of illegal aliens started migrating back to their home countries.
If aliens enter illegally across the Mexican border, send them back to Mexico no matter where they come from originally, and maybe Mexico will build a wall on their other border. :evil2:

Although, if the feds stopped paying subsidies for illegals, and stop reimbursement to state and local government for any services they provide to anyone other than citizens and resident aliens, that would help a lot. I can't go to Canada and get FREE! healthcare, even if I'm a legal tourist. No free school in Canada for legal tourists either. There's no good reason for American taxpayers to be more generous to criminal foreigners than Canada is to Americans who enter their country legally.

Tougher laws with significant financial penalties for employing illegals would also help but big corporations pay billions to politicians to stop that from happening.

Good! The military shouldn't engage in police activities in the USA nor "police actions" overseas. :clapping:

First and foremost, the military should defend the country from foreign invasion. The military may fight them "over there" so we don't have to face them here, but if they get here, fight the invaders on the border. If they overrun the borders (e.g. WW2 Eastern Front) the job of the military is to push them back. Kill or drive out the invaders.

That is the purpose of the military.
:iagree:

And it is the right and duty of the militia to fight invaders at the border and anywhere on US soil.

The US military should be used to stop actual foreign invaders, not just to kill goat herders halfway around the world.
