When I drive here, I bring a gun, because I have some control over my situation, and because I’m spending some time in the free states on the way to and from. But when I fly to California, I don’t bother with a gun. It’s too much trouble, and I have no faith in airline/airport employees at that end. If I were flying inside of Texas, or from Texas to say Arizona, I’d fly with a firearm .... just not to California. Unfortunately, this trip required flying because we’re traveling with two toddlers, who’d never make it to California alive, in a car.
