Re: Star BM 9mm Pistol
First purpose-made CC gun I ever purchased was a Star Firestar (in starvel finish, lol.) Great little pistol. Very reliable with any ammo (.40 cal). Only downside was that it weighed a ton. Almost 2 pounds empty. (Compared to 21 ounces for a G19). I think that was 1997..? Traded it in on an H&K...

Re: LCR 9mm v. 38 Special snub
I could never see myself carrying my spare ammo on moon clips, at least with the 38 you can use speed strips. I carry spare ammo with me about 90% of the time and I know I couldn’t get used to the thickness of the spare ammo on moon clips. There’s probably not a large difference in the thickness of...

Re: Medical Facilities
My Family Practitioner is not posted and has never said anything when I've been in to make an appointment or ask a question but I do not carry when I go for an appointment simply because they always weigh me and give me grief over every little pound. So Doctor Visit days are no gun, no phone (the ce...

Re: Carry options
I've found an actual gun belt really makes a significant difference in comfort whether I am carrying in or on my waist. I'm partial to the belts from High Noon holsters and have several in various colors. I also find some of my old Bucheimer, Hume and Alessi holsters as comfortable as my newer holst...

Re: The importance of off hand shooting
There are two different scenarios I've experienced over the decades, fortunately both were during non-risk situations where I could get an idea of what it might be like in a high-risk event. The first is when something happens unexpected and you are left to dance with the girl you came with. The oth...

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?
My reasoning is pretty simple; I find the other choice dishonest, untrustworthy, unconnected to reality. I also firmly believe that we do need to regulate gun ownership more than is the current standard. Speaking just of the Texas LTC process I think both the written and proficiency tests were pret...

Re: Postal Service is a joke...
Of all the delivery options I've used I find USPS to be the best and most consistent, but sometimes strange things happen.

As a long term Republican, gun owner and LTC holder I will be voting for Beto this election.

Clean after every range session and if the gun has been out of rotation for awhile then before it gets put back in use.

Re: Carry options
Is there anyone who has been owning and using handguns for over a few years and has just one holster? Or even just own as many holsters as handguns?

Re: Carry rules for non CHL citizens
Thanks for the quick response Jusme. I rarely ever have to do this but last week there were some obvious gang members at the gas station (I recognized the tattoos) that were seriously giving me the creeps and I was pretty much scared for my life. I also had my daughter with me so I felt like I didn...
