That probably would not fly in Texas. A common 51% venue where families go is your good old-fashioned Texas dancehall. I know it's a dying institution, but they still exist. I know, because I'm a part-time musician who plays at such venues.
It is not uncommon for Mom & Dad to bring the kids to the Saturday night dance. A lot of people would definitely be put out by such a law. Contrary to popular belief, not every 51% establishment in Texas has a mosh pit.
Thank you for another example of why the 51% rule for CHL should have been repealed completely (rather than merely adding the signage requirement) and helping to expose the stupidity and prejudice of the lobbyists and legislators who support violating a basic human right in often arbitrary locations.
