I'm not proposing knee jerk reactions or voting blindly. But I think actual individual performance has to be the key factor when deciding whether to vote for or against an incumbent.
The party platform is irrelevant. This session proved that beyond a shadow of a doubt for Republicans.

The first time to vote against your do-nothing incumbent is during the primary. Hopefully that works. If not there's always the general election.

We're simply discussing our right to vote for people to represent our interests in Austin. That's still our right even post Obama. Maybe we're not a big political force and they made a politically shrewd move by letting our bills die. If that's true, they have nothing to worry about. On the other hand, if they bet on the wrong horse, they should accept the consequences of their mistake.
