On 4-17 the site updated and everything was green except pending fingerprints and background check and hasn't changed since then... still got the jeapordy song stuck in my head just waiting to see something different

UPDATE 5/8: nothing has changed, still pending finger prints and background. I called this morning and they told me me just to wait...

Yeah I had a hunch what I needed before I received the letter so I requested it preemptively. Actually got it in my email a couple hours before the letter showed in the mail.

You sent in your paperwork with your application that's why you did not get a letter. Congratulations on background should have plastic next week.

I seen a couple guys here and on Reddit who said they also had sent in the dispositions along with their application. And a few of them still got letters asking for more information. Obviously I don't know if they sent in the right thing or what else the DPS or whoever wanted, but it's a pain I know that. Glad the state of Texas doesn't see me as a criminal and will "allow" me to exercise a constitutional right. And I hope my plastic gets here Monday or just early in the week.

Update: I couldn’t stand the wait any longer so I logged onto DPS website and paid for my own background check. Sure enough, no surprises. It took me less than 10 minutes to create a new profile, pay the fee, and get the background. Also, my new fingerprint photo was on the results. So obviously the identgo photo is being logged. Point is, DPS have the info, prints and could pull the BG in less time. I don’t know what the hold up is...

The hold up is there’s thousands of reviews pending, & they don’t do the same type of background checks that you paid for (which is useless for them anyway). They look at federal, state, warrants, military, a ton of things. You said you submitted your certificate on 4/5/18- you’re being way too impatient.

Stayed like that until 4/17/2018: Background check and Fingerprints Complete, print pending 43 days for fingerprints and background check. I also had an order of non disclosure for a case back in 2000. I turned in that paperwork with application as well. Will probably get license next week sometime.

from start to finish mine took 11 days. excluding weekends. and i got mine last month. I think Grundy 1133 is right about the weather. Although I don't have mine yet everything is complete and just waiting for it to be mailed. 43 total and 42 days of background and fingerprints under review. I called and emailed and I did not get it any faster.

well they have 60 days.... lol. but seriously, mine were under review for 2 days I think? maybe 1? the longest part for me (and most others i believe) is the background check. also it has a lot to do with how busy they are.

Mine have been under review since 4/10/18 and i was just curious. The back ground check is under review also but i expected that.
