Re: Kamala Harris
(That was about 50% ChatGPT and 50% me throwing more KH shade...)Vice President Kamala Harris wrote: Ladies and gentlemen, let me draw a parallel for you. A parallel that runs side by side to each other. Like the two striped lines down the center of a highway, the educational highway.
Elementary school education, much like renting a mule, is about laying down the groundwork, forging a connection, and nurturing the seeds of knowledge. Because seeds need to be nurtured, though they are not forged unless they are false seeds.
Now, picture this: You've got this young, eager mind just off the big yellow school bus, though the mule didn't arrive on the same bus. Much like that mule, that eager mind is ready to embark on a journey. You rent a mule for a specific purpose, just as you enroll a child in elementary school for a specific purpose: to equip them and fit then with the tools and equipment they need for the journey of life. It's an investment in potential, a commitment to growth. Like that seed.
In elementary school, just like with that mule, you're laying the foundation. You teach the basics, the ABCs, the 1-2-3s. It's about learning to navigate the terrain, understanding the ropes, and building a solid educational foundation.
But, let's not forget the importance of guidance. Like a mule needs a steady hand to steer it in the right direction, our young minds require the guidance of dedicated educators and leaders like Joe Biden. Teachers, and President Biden, much like seasoned mule handlers, play a crucial role in shaping the path ahead, ensuring that each child is equipped with the skills and knowledge to face the challenges that lie ahead. And, like the mule, to feed the children lunch.
Moreover, just as renting a mule is a temporary arrangement, elementary school is a stage in the journey—a stepping stone. It's a period of growth, exploration, and discovery, preparing our children for the next phases of their academic and personal development.
So, in summary, elementary school education is like renting a mule. It's an investment in potential, a commitment to growth, and a crucial stage in the journey of shaping informed, empowered, entitled individuals who can navigate the winding trails of the future and not make missteps that falsely lead them down the path of ultra-MAGA Republicans.

For that most-worthy post, I would like to award you a shiny participation trophy. </sarcasm>The Annoyed Man wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2023 12:51 pm Gen Z is the one that will voluntarily surrender the nation to its enemies…NOT because they are consciously seeking surrender, but because they’re deceived into believing vacuous notions like "our strength is in our diversity"…and because they will routinely abandon high standards and expectations for behavior that are unchanging, for low standards like "equity" that change with the whims of the mob.
I’m old enough that I likely won’t have to live through Gen Z's control of gov’t and the economy, but I am scared for my grandkids.
In the coming years, at least we won't have to worry about things like hard work, personal achievement, and bettering humanity by goal-driven success. Nobody will have to do anything but show up, be some degree of non-white, and claim gender fluidity. Good to go! The government will provide because everyone is entitled to it...

Re: Kamala Harris
What is disturbing to me--but isn't shocking--is that the Biden/Harris campaign is now worried because a big chunk of their base is basically 50/50 about supporting Israel; the feeling is that if Uncle Joe doesn't lighten the rhetoric and financial/military support for Israel, that it could damage him even more in next year's election. I think this is one reason his handlers had him go, within just days, from "we unequivocally stand by Israel" to "well, maybe Israel should lighten up a little bit on the military action for a while, you know, stand back and assess things."
That important base of voters? Gen Z, people born between the late 1990s and early 2010s. In other words, the 18-24-year-olds who have been thoroughly inculcated into left-thinking by our educational system and the ultra-liberal influencers who spend time and money "training" this generation of voters.
A Harvard-Harris poll from October, after the attack on Israel, got 2,116 responses and found that 84% of Americans were in support of Israel, with 16% indicating direct support for Hamas. But that went very differently by age group. The 18-24 group showed 52% for Israel, and 48% for Hamas.
An NPR-PBS-Marist poll from October 11 showed that only 48% of respondents in the 18-to-29 age group said the U.S. government should support Israel.
A Quinnipiac poll, taken October 12-16 indicated that almost 20% of 18-to-34 age groups feels explicitly that Israel is responsible for the outbreak of violence in the Middle East, not Hamas.
Where are we as a country headed if, come 2040, this is the generation of political "leaders" entering office in their 40s?

Roy, I hadn't seen those...and I've been laughing for 10 minutes. There are 19 of those Kamala "motivational posters," and at least 17 of them are priceless, and so is Elle Reynolds's accompanying text. Maybe her best line is, "She [Harris] has an incredible ability to say absolute gibberish and then look genuinely inspired by herself."RoyGBiv wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 11:31 am Kamala Harris Quotes As Motivational Posters, Because The Time To Be Inspired Is Every Day

The images were so great that, when I found that trying to save them ended up with a Google .WEBP file type, I copied each one and saved it as a JPEG. The March 15 article says, "Post these on Twitter to show everyone how much you admire strong women and love paying more money for gas and groceries." I'm going to write to The Federalist and see if they actually can be posted freely with attribution. Because...

Re: Kamala Harris
What's astoundingly baffling to me is that, somehow, we have a president, a vice president, and a White House press secretary...and none of them seem to be able to string a cogent sentence together unless it's scripted. Sometimes even if it is scripted! [Repeat the last line.]

Re: Kamala Harris
My dear Ms. Vice President, Texas--and all border states--have been actively, very actively and intimately, "dealing with the realities of the issue" for 16 months. You, however, who were appointed as "Border Czar" to be in charge of this open-border fiasco, have not once even been to the border and seem to spend most of your time annoying your staff members, laughing at inappropriate times, and becoming a master of internally repetitive sentences.Kamala Harris wrote: "How the governor of that state responded really highlights part of the problem because his response when there are 50 dead bodies in his state is to go straight to politics," Harris said in an interview with NPR. "Instead of dealing with the realities of the issue."
Sure. Uh huh. Keep telling yourself it's all Trump's fault.Kamala Harris wrote: "We also need to take seriously the fact that we have a broken immigration system that was decimated by the last administration," she continued. "And we've been trying, and we are on the path doing it, to fix that broken system."
So let's see... You and Uncle Joe took office in January 2021 and with a wink and a nod essentially threw open the border and overwhelmed the CBP. Let's take a look at an interesting little chart (uploaded as an attachment). Looking at the data the CBP provides right now (which doesn't include June 2022, already expected to set a new monthly record days before the end of the month) and breaking it down by month, your first 16 months in office--from day one before the cartels and illegal immigrants realized it was open season--has averaged 185,946 recorded CBP border encounters per month.
During the last 28 months of the Trump administration, including the transition month January 2021, the CBP recorded an average of 61,859 border encounters per month.
My dear Ms. Vice President, you're running at a pace exactly 3 times as hot as during the Trump administration. And my understanding is that we'll crack a quarter million recorded encounters for this June. Can you explain to me exactly what "broken immigration system" it was that you inherited from the Trump administration? And can you tell me exactly what it is that you've been doing when you say, "And we've been trying, and we are on the path doing it, to fix that broken system"?

Re: Kamala Harris
And today Kamala gave us another presidential-worthy quotation in one of her talking head interviews where she--one of among about a half-dozen Biden apologists who went on an after-speech mini-clean-up tour--tried to explain what Joe Biden intended to say and what he really meant by it.
"It's time for us to do what we've been doing. And that time is every day."

Fox News from yesterday:
Kamala Harris struggles through question on inflation during CBS interview

In the short article is also this gem: "It’s clear that you’re not working with somebody who is willing to do the prep and the work," one former staffer said. "With Kamala you have to put up with a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism and also her own lack of confidence. So you’re constantly sort of propping up a bully and it’s not really clear why."

Part of which is complete bull anyway because I watched an interview with Steven Neal, president of the Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners shortly after he took office in July--so probably in August--and he said that the port had already moved to a 24-hour schedule and had had no contact with the federal government or the Biden administration. But, even before that change, he said the port was operating on a 20-hour day, so the extra 4 hours made minimal difference since the backlog of containers already stored and staged for pickup was so large.Vice President Kamala Harris struggled to give a coherent answer when asked about the economy and inflation during a Sunday interview on CBS. Harris appeared on "Face the Nation" when host Margaret Brennan asked her about the issues of inflation going into the "third year" of a pandemic.
"Was it wrong to consider inflation transitory? These price spikes seem like they’re going to be with us for a while," Brennan asked....
"We have to address the fact that we have got to deal with the fact that folks are paying for gas, paying for groceries, and are -- need solutions to it. So let's talk about that," Harris said. "Short-term solution includes what we need to do around the supply chain, right? So, we went to the ports of Los Angeles, Long Beach, Savannah, Georgia, and said, 'Hey, guys, no more five days a week, eight hours a day; 24/7, let's move the products because people need their product – they need what they need.' We're dealing with it in terms of the long term. And that's about what we need to do to pass Build Back Better. It strengthens our economy."

Vice President Kamala Harris consistently receives lower approval ratings than President Joe Biden in public opinions polls, and a new USA Today/Suffolk survey continues that trend in startling fashion. According to the poll, conducted among 1,000 registered voters from Nov. 3-5, Biden has an approval rating of 38% and Harris has an even worse 28% approval rating. The poll found that Harris is more unpopular than both congressional Democrats (29% approval) and congressional Republicans (35% approval), which is pretty hard to do as members of Congress often receive low marks in public opinion polls...

Yep. They're having a big issue on the Poland/Belarus border, for one. And who better in the United States to travel to Europe and offer advice than our own effective and efficient border czar. Kamala will tell ’em exactly what to do!

Several top members of the Biden administration were in Mexico City on Friday for a meeting with Mexican officials regarding security along the U.S.-Mexico border. But Vice President Kamala Harris wasn't among them.
...
Harris, meanwhile, traveled to the Garden State, visiting a daycare center at Montclair State University in Little Falls and a vaccination site at Essex County Community College in Newark to promote the Biden administration’s agenda.
The vice president last visited the border in June, spending several hours in El Paso, Texas, while on her way to her home in California. It’s the only time she’s been to the border since taking office.
