FBI 2019 Preliminary Semiannual UCR Released with Good News

Just got my email notification from the FBI that the Uniform Crime Report for January through June 2019 was released. It's at https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/20 ... eport/home. For Bloomberg and the other anti-gun screamers in this general election year, here were the highlights from the email:

According to the report, all categories of violent crime offenses decreased between the first half of 2018 and the first half of 2019, including:
  • Robbery (down 7.4 percent)
  • Rape (down 7.3 percent)
  • Murder and nonnegligent manslaughter (down 3.9 percent)
  • Aggravated assault (down 0.3 percent)
Property crime also declined during the same period, specifically:
  • Burglary (down 11.1 percent)
  • Motor vehicle theft (down 6.7 percent)
  • Larceny-theft (down 4.2 percent)
With more guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans than ever before, and more law-abiding Americans carrying than ever before, those FBI statistics <sarcasm>clearly</sarcasm> show that legally-owned firearms are a problem.
