My holster is made from a half shell kydex plate, and a leather backing. The leather that was used for it is "medical grade", Its the kind of leather used in prosthetic limbs and such. It is VERY soft, and VERY malleable. The owner of the company that made my holster worked in the medical field for many many years after being in the military (Airforce) I believe. He is very adamant about not putting ANY other kind of material against someones body.

If you want to check them out, the company is called Triple T Holsters. They are located in League city, TX but they will ship nationwide.

I’ve tried crossbreed and alien gear. I carried a Glock 19 in a crossbreed super tuck for a while. I didn’t like having a big slab of leather Or neoprene agains me. Very hot in summer. I tend to stick with the taco style iwb holsters.

I always go back to all Kydex. I will use a leather owb occasionally but like today I’m using an all Kydex owb I made. I like the rigidity, slimness, and retention of Kydex. While Kydex wears a finish more It doesn’t bother me. Makes the gun look cooler. Plus idk what Smith And Wesson uses for their slide finish but it’s held up better than any Glock or sig I’ve used.

I didn't mean crossbreed the brand. The crossbreed holster, kydex shell and some sort of backing. I wear one from the company I mentioned. I also wear an undershirt all the time, it keeps the backing off my skin, I understand about the heat. I live in South Texas where it's muggy as hell year round. The first holster I tried was a stealthgear, it's neoprene backing breathes quite well.
