I don't disagree with you one bit but just look at how most of those that "fit the bill" for no longer tolerating tyranny are remembered...

Who is the innocent life you will protect with any weapon you can? Your wife and children? Relatives? Friends? Neighbors? Co-workers? Members of your church?
Being a Christian myself, this is a difficult question. The main two problems I see are that (1) EVERY communist and socialist nation can and will try to eliminate Christianity and silence the Gospel, and (2) my duty to protect innocent life extends all the way to unborn life- whether that be my grandkids or some future generation. If the time were to come, you cannot sit idly by and reduce religious liberty (IE the right to CHOOSE the Gospel and the right to SPEAK the Gospel) to ashes.

We have already crossed that line in a vast majority of the public sphere, when it goes further it becomes time to break the law.
