Which is absolutely ridiculous since now:ELB wrote: ↑Wed Aug 22, 2018 5:11 pm UTSA (and I think UT in general) effectively has instituted 2A zones for students who have LTCs and want to meet with their (snowflaky) professors. UTSA's policy under the campus carry law allows, in direct contradiction to the Texas AG's opinion, each individual professor who has a single occupant office to decide whether to allow carry in his/her/its/zhe's office. If the instructor does not allow carry in the professor's office, the professor must come up with another meeting place for LTC students.
(1) the professor knows that student is a LTC'er
(2) it will impact the student's grade
(3) the teacher still has to meet an 'armed' student, but you now have the additional 'hostility' (if you will) of both parties knowing that one is armed and another is (presumably) not.
All of this is beside the point that if a disgruntled student wanted to harm a professor, that little sign on the door wont stop it in the least bit.
