The guy chasing them was not a cop and was committing numerous serious crimes himself beginning as soon as he discharged his firearm unlawfully and then attempting to chase them down.Grumpy1993 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 4:50 pmIf somebody flees from the cops and causes a fatal wreck, it's the cops fault for chasing them?

Re: TX: You don't pull your gun because someone eggs your car.
And once again that was caused by the unlawful pursuit, the illegal discharge of a firearm, reckless driving, and "deadly conduct" of the man pursuing them. All of the above are class A misdemeanors or felonies.

A minor misdemeanor. Had he not pursued them unlawfully there would have been no accident.Grumpy1993 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2019 1:43 pmThe criminals were fleeing the scene of a crime when the getaway driver ran a red light and crashed into an innocent woman.WildRose wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 9:45 pmIf the story is true and he was chasing them he was the proximate cause of the accident since he triggered the actions that led to the fatal crash.Ameer wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 6:02 pmI thought that's only required if you're in a vehicle involved in a collision.

Are they going to charge everybody who drove past without rendering aid?
That was the proximate cause of the fatal crash.

An adult should know better and he'll almost certainly be punished much more harshly than the kids he was chasing. My guess is he'll get 4-7 years if not more assuming no prior felonies or serious misdemeanors.philip964 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 4:22 pm https://www.click2houston.com/news/driv ... h-indicted
Guy who “brandished” his gun and chased the 14 yo driver, who then ran a red light and killed an innocent woman has been indicted for manslaughter.
They did not call it brandishing the DA called it: aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Also left the scene of the accident and failed to render aid. Didn’t say LTC.

Crazier things have happened. If the story is true the guy is too stupid to breathe much less carry a gun.03Lightningrocks wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 1:10 amI am very skeptical of the teens story.rotor wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 12:07 am Do we believe the teens who were driving illegally and supposedly threw eggs and then ran a red light and killed someone? They claim that their first victim drew a gun. We should believe this why? I would not rush to judgement on whether an unknown man "pulled a gun" and got away. Perhaps but that's their story.
