About mice, use peanut butter instead of cheese and place the armed trap in a paper bag; especially when trapping in a drawer. This keeps them from leaning over and removing the bate AND it's much more pleasant to pickup in the bag.
***Gross Out Warning***
We had a very smart population of mice at our station in Oak Cliff and one of the guys placed a couple of glue traps. We caught three pretty quickly. No one wanted to put them out of their misery and I caught a run at an accident. When we pulled back in we learned they had placed them outside where we had a feral cat mama. I went outside and there were three sets of tiny feet and no mice.
