I am by habit a careful and lawful driver. Occasionally inattention creeps in and the accelerator may creep lower. We were coming up 35 W after a long, long day and we were all whipped. The next thing I know I've been lit up by DPS, I had been going around 80 in a 65 (I think I slept through it though
) and he asked for my license and insurance and got the CHL as well, he also told me that at fifteen over he had to write a citation. My wife was steady redressing me when he returned to the car and said he would be writing me a warning but to slow it down. My wife popped off and said, "Oh, he's not done getting chewed out yet." He grinned and said, "Good". Then returned to his cruiser.I can't say I have ever had anything but professional and courteous encounters with DPS.
