I shoot at Pasadena Gun Center and have never had a any problems. I carry a bag of firearms in, and one on my person. They never ask anything except what the largest caliber I'll be shooting is. And they only do that if they have a lot of lanes open, since they might put you further down the line if your shooting something rather large. Sometimes I'll shoot my carry guy, after I take it out of the holster, unload, clear it and reload. And it's $7.50 per person for as long as you want to shoot. Only problem is it's indoors only out to 25 yards.

Personally, if I went anywhere that made me have to open and clear all firearms before entering the building, I probably wouldn't go back there. Only reason I would, is if it was the only place close by to shoot.
