I think a ban is very possible however the win in DC v Heller really helps our chances. I still think they will try to ban hi-cap mags, "assault weapons" etc., similar to the Clinton era Brady Bill. I saw a video from a guy from the Cato Institute-(libertarian think tank- some of their guys helped fight the DC gun ban in the Heller case- for those that don't know) who doesn't think Obama will do anything because of something he said prior to the election. Personally I don't trust any politician, especially one from a state such as Illinois, which has some of the most strict gun laws, and who has surrounded himself with staff who are all anti gun. I just bought an AR last week. I would recommend getting anything you might want just in case.
