Well this is not a failed to conceal story, but the outcome could have been just as embarrasing. Not long ago my grand daugter was sick so the wife asked me to run to CVS down the street and get some meds. Being the Papa I am I without hesitation grabbed my USP Compact .40 and off to CVS I go. I get the meds as Dr. Mom had prescribed and went to the register. Being the ex cop I had, (notice the past tense) always carried my DL, CHL,Debit card and cash in a money clip in my pocket. My wallet contains company credit cards, no cash and personal credit cards maxed out due to guns, ammo and holsters. Any way the clerk rings it up and I reach in my front pocket for my money clip and I got this sick feeling in the pit of my stomach... I did not have it. Now at this point most folks would be say oh crap I cant pay for my purchase, as a CHL'r I am say oh crap what if I get caught by cop that I dont know or I know I have burnt tail light on the truck ... all these thoughts racing. Luckily I have a second debit card I keep in my wallet for second account.. but the feeling in the stomach was something to remember. I now carry everything in one wallet.
