It is known that the volume of applicants has increased over the years, and that the funding provided to the licensing division for CHL is not allowing faster processing. The processing time is WAY better than when many on the forum got their licenses. I know of a time when 6 months was the norm, just ask here and you will get that answer.
If you believe it is mismanagement or some other issue, then as I suggested, call your State Representative and ask them to look into it and provide feed back with what they find.
