As for entering, I told the security person that was wanding I was a CHL and needed to see an officer. She pointed my wife and I both to the officer sitting in the little tower and didn't even search my wife's bag. I showed the officer my CHL, he quickly looked at it in my hand, gave me a thumbs up and said 'Have a great day at the fair!' Easy peasy!!

Crowds were pretty heavy due to the nice weather, but not terrible. Overall had a good time. :thumbs2:
No, you ate too much. The Ebola won't kick in for a week or two. But by then it'll be too late! R.I.P Keith! :leaving
Send flowers to the funeral please. :cryin

Everything at the fair is fried; frying kills Ebola, but raises cholesterol. The last one worries me more than the first one.

Re: Texas State Fair CHL Question

I have heard several people quote things that [Pre-paid legal service] is apparently incorrectly telling them. One is that any 'No Gun's' sign is valid notification, and now this. I personally would not want to put my defense in the hands of someone who does not understand or interpret the laws well enough to know what's legal and what's not. :totap:

A friend of mine told me that another friend of his told him that a lawyer told him (seriously, lol) that they were going to make CHLs wear an armband so the police could easily identify and know who the CHLs were. I told him I thought that was a bunch of junk and I wouldn't allow that if they tried it with me for soooo many reasons.
No no, a sash and tiara :thumbs2:

Re: Texas State Fair CHL Question

Actually, you CAN legally carry in the Cotton Bowl unless a sporting event is going on (no matter what the police say). The only thing I know of in there during the fair is the football game, so that would be off limits then.
