Re: Anyone else local ISD posting 30.06 signs?
The school is a government entity and is prohibited from being able to enforce a 30.06 sign. You can carry on grounds that are not the building or have a school function going on. So, the parking lot is not off limits and a 30.06 is not enforceable for it.nightmare69 wrote:Aware me. Well, they admitted they were unenforcable, but haven't removed them.C-dub wrote:If that were really true then they would also have read that the Plano ISD finally realized that their signs were unenforceable and removed them. Or they just choose to ignore that and continue their bully tactics.

If it is a building, then it is a premise. Premises does not include sidewalks, parking lots or open grounds, but all school owned buildings would be off-limits.nightmare69 wrote:What about a school building that does NOT house teachers or students, like our maintenance shop or the administration building? Its just us maintenance staff and our office workers here. If it was not posted and someone who has a CHL came in could they legally carry?
