I am sure that has been reviewed well before the bill was put in place and I don't believe a change in hours will be an issue. We will still require classroom training and proficiency on the range. This is something that states have to really watch closely when setting or changing their training standards. We nearly lost reciprocity with New Mexico about a year ago because they suddenly decided our standards weren't up to theirs. We currently don't have reciprocity with a couple of states because of the 18 year old exemption for military. While I know a lot of folks would love to have unlicensed concealed carry, just remember that this permit you have to get to carry in Texas also gives you some capabilities in other states you wouldn't have otherwise.AggieMM wrote:Looks like it's time for another Map update ( Reciprocity Map).
