Walmart is no different than any other ammo seller in the fact that they have had a run on their supplies and can't get it in fast enough to keep up with the demand. I just purchased a couple of boxes of 9mm and a couple 100 round boxes of .22 early on Saturday, but the shelves were pretty bare and there was a line behind me for ammo.fickman wrote:jmra wrote:Bought 500 rds of WWB at my local Walmart today. The manager was behind the counter (usually not the person behind the counter at this Walmart). She assured me that ammo was coming in daily and orders were being placed to restock the shelves.
I mentioned the rumors on the Internet and she again assured me that orders were being placed. Also let me buy as much of the 40 as I wanted (I left a few boxes).
Maybe Walmart has heard/felt the backlash and shifted their ill advised policy.
