Just one note, get your class done ASAP after you apply for your renewal, or take the class and THEN renew online and send your paperwork. There is a 90 day issue that can get you if you apply, then they send you a letter asking for your paperwork. If you weren't to respond in 90 days then they could reset everything and make you take the whole class again.

You have up to 1 year after your CHL expires to renew before you have to take the full course again.
