Surprisingly Kohl's suffers heavy losses from shoplifters. Their merchandise is not marked down last years fashions. They sell sell jeans, shoes. small appliances, electronics, jewelry, etc. A close friend used to be the District Manager for north Texas and he indicated their Loss Prevention Team has a substantial amount of theft annually that they deal with.seamusTX wrote:I'm really surprised that shoplifters would bother with Kohl's. Shoplifters tend to go for things like overpriced name-brand sunglasses, electronics, and leather jackets. Many of them work in groups that are literally organized crime - and pretty successful. They do things like taking merchandise and passing it off to their "coworkers" with the skill of James Randi.
Maybe stupid first-time shoplifters go to Kohl's, and that's why they get caught.

I know I use http://www.crimreports.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and a neighborhood Kohl's near me shows 15 events at that store alone in the past 6 months. And those are the ones that they knew about, doesn't include shortages in merchandise that they are not sue where it went (when or with who.)
