Employer can restrict and in the parking lot too. Different than law about school, hospital, etc where parking lot is ok.

30.06 has nothing to do with alcohol. 30.06 is to prevent CHL holder from entering a location period. 51% signs are the ones showing an establishment that makes 51% or more of their revenue from serving alcohol for on premise consumption is off limits.

Private businesses can restrict parking lot with 30.06. So can hospitals. Some schools have posted 30.06 in parking lots, but not really valid as they are government, but there are other restrictions on schools that are in the statutes that must be adhered to.

No, oral notice only has to be someone of authority telling you 'No guns allowed here' and that is it. If in the manual, then it has to be 30.06 wording.

That is your choice as to carry or not on company property. And while the statement you made is technically correct, you CAN be arrested, but it would be a false arrest. Legally it is not prosecutable unless the manual is in the form of 30.06 or you have been told in person orally.

I disagree. The way it is stated above that it is written into the handbook does not constitute proper 30.06 notification. It has to be word for word if written in a policy manual to be illegal. They can still terminate but not have him arrested.

Now, on the other hand, if they verbally informed you either one on one, upon being hired, or as a group at a function or meeting, then it does not have to be word for word and can be grounds for arreast.
RPBrown is correct. This in itself on written form does not constitute a legal 30.06 notification. However, if you have ORALLY (verbal can be written also) notified you, then you can be prosecuted for the violation. Otherwise, this is just fireable offense.

I dont not plan to carry in the office being we have been told not too, and it is not posted. NO they do not search you cars here ,but you know I value my job here. So I dont want go under the dont ask , dont tell rule.

Texas does not have a parking lot exemption. Hoping for that next session.

Per the company guidelines you quoted, it is spelled out pretty clearly that you cannot have a firearm on company property or in the parking lot and they can fire you for doing so.
