It provides you an alternate CHL if you should happen to misplace your Texas CHL. Also, there are those that DO go to the additional states.

If you feel you don't need these added bonuses, then you probably don't need an additional CHL from another state.

It can also give you a buffer if your Texas CHL expires and you are late applying for your renewal or your renewal is delayed.
